Irrigation system installation

Proper design and installation of your irrigation system will help save water. Important aspects of irrigation system installation include ensuring pipes are at the proper depth, picking the right sprinkler heads, rotors, and valves, ensuring the system can be more easily maintained, and ensuring enough water pressure for each zone. Well water versus city water can also make a big difference. Sufficiently large distribution pipes are required to enable proper water pressure. Additionally, we will minimize over-spray of sprinklers by proper placement of each sprinkler head and selecting the proper spray nozzles. Once your system is installed, we’ll show you how to use and adjust the settings during the seasons to save water and ensure your landscaping is healthy. We will also make sure your irrigation system is compliant with regulations such as backflow and avoiding excessive run-off. “Soaking” systems exist as an option for irrigation; however, Rising Sun suggests these be avoided because they tend to clog in our climate and are therefore higher-maintenance.

While we design our irrigation systems to be low-maintenance, we can help with starting irrigation in the spring. We can also come out to inspect proper operation of the system and set up zone timing if you need help.
